The Robertson County Commission approved Resolution 072026064 on July 20 to advance economic development plans for the Cedar Grove mixed-use project.
Adam Clark presented the resolution and described the plan. Commissioner Gina raised concerns about an extensive delinquent-tax list included in the meeting packet and proposed that developers on the delinquent list should not receive building permits until taxes are paid. Clark and other commissioners discussed how tax-delinquency enforcement and building-permit policy intersect. The board also discussed components of the project finance plan; commissioners noted that Tax Increment Financing (TIF) proceeds will support infrastructure such as sidewalks and turning lanes and that projected school and debt-service shares were part of expected revenues.
Commissioners approved the resolution after discussion. Several members asked staff to review delinquent-tax handling and consider process changes when developers with delinquent taxes apply for permits.
