"It's going to United Way $10,000," Commissioner Bobby Katz said, adding that the choice reflected a desire for stronger recordkeeping: "they do a better job of keeping records than we do." The commission moved, seconded and approved the resolution.
Katz said there remained additional dollars in that account (he estimated ‘‘about 40,000’’) that could be used for other distributions later; commissioners did not specify additional recipients during the meeting.
