The board approved Patrol Officer Brian Harrison to attend an "ASP Instructor Certification" training at the McHenry County Regional Training Center Dec. 9–11, 2025. The recorded costs include $100 registration (line item 5195 Police; reimbursed after completion) and meals at $50 per day ($150 total) from line item 5200 Police.
Trustees also approved a Coaching Services Agreement with Law Enforcement Coaching, LLC to provide coaching services to full-time officers; the service is to be funded through the Recruit and Retention Grant. Both motions passed by roll call, 6-0.
Why it matters: training and coaching actions are part of ongoing efforts to maintain police certifications and retention; funding through grant programs reduces local budget impact but may carry reporting requirements.
