Trustees approve officer training and coaching agreement; police grants total more than $600,000

Trustee Scott Kramer moved and Trustee Carl Wedig seconded two public-safety items brought to the committee. The Committee voted to forward for Village Board approval Patrol Officer Brian Harrison’s attendance at "ASP Instructor Certification" at the McHenry County Regional Training Center Dec. 9–11, 2025; registration ($100) will come from line item 5195 Police (reimbursed after completion) and meals ($50/day, $150 total) from line item 5200 Police. The Committee also voted to forward a Coaching Services Agreement with LAW ENFORCEMENT COACHING, LLC to provide coaching services to full-time officers, funded through the Recruit and Retention Grant. Both motions carried by voice vote (All AYE, none opposed).
Chief Todd Stockburger presented a chart of grants obtained to support police operations from FY 2024 to the present and said, "Total dollar amount is over $600,000.00." The Chief also updated trustees on follow-ups to various ordinance violations but did not provide specific fine or case totals in the Committee session.
