They called out additions this year, including a new athletic trainer, sixth‑grade strength and conditioning and club sports such as mountain biking, and said the department will propose activity-fee recommendations during the next budget cycle for the 2027–28 year.
Operational items and dates were listed: opening day Aug. 28, Patton parent activities night Sept. 2, cross-country event Sept. 4, Patton Sports Sept. 8 and homecoming on Sept. 25 (Kennett will be the visiting team). The presenters also highlighted plans to better support and mentor new coaches through connection with experienced staff, and they signaled that any recommendations requiring budget changes will be brought forward as part of the budget process.
