ESGR honors St. Charles County Police with Patriot and ProPatriot awards

Colonel Ed Gruetzemacher and General Frank Grass of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) presented awards to Chief Kurt Frisz and the St. Charles County Police Department during the council meeting. Colonel Gruetzemacher said ESGR was established to promote cooperation between reservists and civilian employers and presented the Patriot Award, which Officer Joe Stroll nominated Chief Frisz to receive for his support during training and deployments.
General Frank Grass presented the department with the ProPatriot Award, recognizing broader departmental support for the ESGR program, and requested that County Executive Steve Ehlmann sign and display a statement of support for the Garden Reserve. Councilman Mike Elam thanked officers who also serve as reservists and commended Frisz for supporting them during deployments.
