Commission awards $456,405.75 drain tile contract to Apex Drainage

Commissioner Nathan Berseth moved to award the contract to Apex Drainage; Commissioner Rollie Ehlert seconded the motion and the board approved the award unanimously. Highway personnel in attendance noted that total highway bids this season came in roughly $900,000 under budget, which may allow scope expansion or additional planned work.
The approved contract covers the drain tile work on CR 1 and CR 3; project scheduling and any change orders will be handled by the Highway Department within the board-approved budget.
