The Richland County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to amend the county's overtime policy to state that holiday hours will not count as hours worked for overtime calculations.
Auditor/Administrator Sandy Fossum told commissioners she had consulted the Sheriff’s Department, Corrections, Dispatch and the Highway Department and found none were counting holiday hours as time worked for overtime. Commissioner Nathan Berseth moved to adopt the amendment and Commissioner Perry Miller seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
