During the Feb. 12 meeting the Human Relations Commission approved two participation motions by unanimous voice vote.
Commissioner Stinson moved that the commission participate in the Coolidge Elementary Black History Event; Commissioner Heart seconded. The motion passed with McDaniels, Dust, Wright, Grzych, Stinson and Heart recorded as voting yes. Later, Commissioner Heart moved and Commissioner Dust seconded the commission’s participation in the Village of Lansing Annual Cleanup Day; that motion likewise passed with the same six members voting in favor.
Both items were taken as standard participation agreements rather than expenditures or program adoptions; the commission did not adopt related budgets or vendor fee levels during those votes.
