Residents urged the Town of Hague to address recurring safety risks caused by delivery trucks and trailers stopping near a local restaurant, saying the vehicles often sit partly in the roadway and block drivers’ views. Patricia, speaking during public comment, said the trucks “are, like, halfway out in the road,” and suggested operators “could park in the Methodist Park,” which she described as a safer alternative.
Town officials responded that they would monitor the situation and pursue enforcement options. The Supervisor noted prior complaints about boat trailers and signage, said staff have removed conflicting signs in a nearby traffic triangle, and indicated he would contact the sheriff’s office to request an increased enforcement presence at peak times to improve sight lines and pedestrian safety.
