The Kensington Select Board accepted and signed appointments for election inspectors submitted by the Republican and Democratic parties for the upcoming September and November elections. The town clerk told the board she had received two Republican and three Democratic appointees and that volunteers were responsive to outreach posted on the town website and social media.
Select board members read and recognized a long roster of names presented by the clerk and moved to approve and sign the appointments. "Jean Waldron in Rockingham County will fill the vacancy of Kensington Inspector of Elections," a board member read as part of the roll call of appointees. The clerk said the appointments will cover morning and afternoon shifts and end-of-night counters, and that the appointments are valid through the end of the year for both elections.
The board signed the paperwork and confirmed staff will finalize shift assignments; no changes to inspector compensation or structure were discussed.
