The Kensington Select Board voted to sign the Bell & Flynn road-reconstruction agreement covering work on Olivia Lane and Stumpfield Road. The board had received the signed agreement and insurance binder and confirmed the quoted bid amounts matched prior discussion before moving to sign.
"I will make a motion to sign the Bell and Flood agreement for the road reconstruction on Olivia Lane and Stumpfield Road," a select board member said, and the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Separately, the road department reported that crews replaced a failing 12‑inch metal culvert on Stumpfield Road with a 12‑inch HDPE culvert; material cost was about $300 and installation was quoted at roughly $6,000, with paving planned later this summer.
The town clerk/administrator will execute the contract signatures and the town will schedule the paving work as part of the 2026 road reconstruction calendar.
