Staff said the integrated solution would enhance operational efficiency, improve officer safety, reduce administrative burden and offer predictable long-term costs; implementation costs are higher initially but staff cited peer-agency experience and systems integration as justification.
The Committee did not vote on procurement at the April 7 meeting. Staff indicated the transition recommendation will be placed on the April 21 Village Board agenda for a formal procurement decision and budgetary authorization if required.
