The Lansing Police Department presented a recommendation to transition from DACRA Tech, LLC to Tyler Technologies' Enforcement Mobile eCitation and Municipal Justice Court Adjudication platforms. Staff said the integrated solution would enhance operational efficiency, improve officer safety, reduce administrative burden and offer predictable long-term costs; implementation costs are higher initially but staff cited peer-agency experience and systems integration as justification.
The Committee did not vote on procurement at the April 7 meeting. Staff indicated the transition recommendation will be placed on the April 21 Village Board agenda for a formal procurement decision and budgetary authorization if required.
