Council reallocates park-fee funds to develop Terra Vesa park concepts, seeks community gardens and amenities

Council approved Resolution R15126 to amend the 2026 park fee fund budget and reallocate previously earmarked funds (including some Ag Park allocations and unallocated park improvement funds) to support concept design work for amenities at a Terra Vesa park parcel off Frisbee and Spinach Drive. Staff described anticipated amenities — interior sidewalks, drinking fountains, shelter installation and potential community gardens — and noted further concept design review would return through the Parks Commission and council.
Staff estimated a minimum viable community-garden program would require about 20 plots (10x20) and said installation is targeted for the 2027 season if approved. The resolution required a two‑thirds vote; the council conducted a roll-call and recorded the vote as carried.
