Chad and Sarah Baluchina presented accomplishments at Jericho Middle School, noting several recognitions: the school was named the top suburban middle school in New York State by U.S. News & World Report for the fifth consecutive year and continues to place students in state competitions. "For the 5th consecutive year, Jericho Middle School was rated the number 1 suburban middle school in New York State," Chad said.
Beyond accolades, presenters described academic structures designed to make students "well known" to teachers through instructional teams, the NEST advisory for student connection and a response-to-intervention framework. The middle school also offers numerous electives and clubs and supports students with a full continuum of special-education services and ELL supports.
