Finance committee approves $14,700 boost for Lincoln Parish Health Unit

The Lincoln Parish Finance Committee voted Oct. 14 to increase the Lincoln Parish Health Unit’s recommended 2026 allocation from $18,500 to $33,200 — a $14,700 raise.
According to the meeting minutes, “Matt Pullin offered a motion, seconded by Chris Garriga, to increase funding from $18,500.00 to $33,200.00, a $14,700.00 increase.” The motion carried with YEAS recorded from Dan Lord, Matt Pullin, Chris Garriga and Diane Richards. The minutes do not record a discussion explaining how the additional funds will be used.
Committee members did not register any NAYS on this line item. The Health Unit increase is one of the largest dollar changes recorded in the committee’s Oct. 14 review of agency and nonprofit requests.
