Council ratifies local-bidder preference for three department vehicle procurements

Staff said these resolutions ratify Council action taken at the Feb. 18 meeting to pursue local bidder preference when procuring various department vehicles. Councilmembers who moved and seconded the motions included Bill Powell, Jaime McCabe, Michael Stueart and Max Ledesma across the separate items; each motion carried unanimously.
The resolutions allow staff to include local-bidder preference language in RFPs for those vehicle procurements; additional procurement steps (RFP issuance, evaluation, award) were not detailed in the meeting minutes.
