The Marion City Council voted unanimously Feb. 3 to schedule the city Clean Up Day for Saturday, April 12, 2025, with April 26 and May 10 designated as alternate dates. Councilmember Karen Mills moved for the date selections and Councilmember Jeremiah Burns seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Council also set Clean Up Day hours from 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and gave authority to City Secretary Patrick Aten to develop and set guidelines regarding trip assignments and fees. The council recorded the location as around Veterans Park; no fee schedule was included in the minutes and the council left implementation details to the City Secretary.
