"I've been trying to get information on the traffic impact," Gordon said, asking how the city will evaluate long-term effects.
Another resident, Michael, said Arborvita Street — a major route to the stadium and a bus route — has potholes and cracking and asked the council to prioritize repaving. A councilmember responded that staff have discussed repaving and that the city opened traffic on Arborvita during stadium events to support nearby small businesses, offering to provide a follow-up update.
Morris Griffin ("Big Money Griff") raised parking as a pressing concern, saying the draft planning materials did not sufficiently address parking demand even as the city encourages transit-oriented development. Councilmembers noted a proposed transit hub with approximately 1,000 spaces is part of the transit connector planning but that parking and traffic remain open issues for the environmental review.
