Council discussed alternatives; resident Dave Rhodes spoke in favor of keeping the proposed multiplier at 1.35. Mayor Pro-Tem Craig Magerkurth moved to approve the ordinance and Councilmember Karlee Hubble seconded; the motion passed unanimously, 5-0.
As stated in the minutes, council approved "setting outside-city water rates at 1.35% above the inside-city rate." Staff will implement the new rate ordinance and apply it to customers located outside the corporate limits.
