Council approves Conditional Use Permit for housing and services for aging at Broadway and Avenue N

Scarlet Moreno, Director of Development Services, presented the application and Allison Smith of the Texas Housing Foundation responded to council questions. Developer representatives and community members attended the public hearing; Dave Rhodes urged council to consider potential impacts on adjacent baseball field lighting and traffic.
Mayor Pro-Tem Craig Magerkurth moved to approve the ordinance and Mayor John Packer seconded. Councilmember Griff Morris recused himself from the item due to his role as a compensated board member of the Texas Housing Foundation; the motion carried 4-0.
