City staff told the council that Well Number 3 has been brought online and conditionally approved by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), marking a milestone in the city's water-infrastructure work.
"Well Number 3 is on," staff said, and they explained that the operations team will visit the site to resolve a probe issue that is preventing automatic alternation between wells 2 and 3. The contractor and PGMS will coordinate testing and site visits; staff asked councilors and the vendor to coordinate availability for a public photo opportunity once the issue is resolved.
Council thanked staff and said the photo op is important to show residents progress on long-running well projects. Staff said routine TCEQ sampling has been occurring every two weeks and that decisions on any final acceptance depend on the probe fix and continued testing.
