Adam Bailey said the applicant intends to develop a 115-room Everhome Suites extended-stay hotel, with each room to include kitchens and work areas. Clark East, representing Mesquite I-20, LLC, said the developer will fund and construct a monument sign and may add another access point along FM 2932 in the future.
Councilmember Kenny Green moved to approve Zoning Application No. Z1025-0421 and Ordinance No. 5223; Councilmember Brandon Murden seconded the motion and the ordinance passed unanimously. The ordinance establishes conditions for the Planned Development and a Conditional Use Permit for the limited-service hotel limited to the applicant.
