The City of Union Commission took several unanimous actions at the Sept. 15, 2025 caucus meeting:
• Approved concept design plan one for Mt. Zion Road roundabout planting (motion passed 5-0). • Voted to waive the $500 delinquent-business-license penalty for first-time offenders while retaining the $150 attorney fee (motion passed 5-0). • Approved three ordinances on second reading: Ordinance 2025-10 (tax rates for the 2024 calendar year), Ordinance 2025-11 (Farmview Commons change of concept, 8748 US 42) and Ordinance 2025-12 (Kentucky 42, LLC/Union Promenade change of concept, ~21 acres). • Adjourned the caucus at 7:48 PM (motion passed 5-0).
Several items were discussed without formal action: the Union Town Square Change Order Request 001 remains under negotiation and a follow-up meeting was scheduled for Sept. 16, 2025; staff will follow up on approximately 12 payroll-tax refund requests from Boone County School District bus drivers for verification before processing refunds.
