Commissioners approved a $900 rental for a tent and chairs from Cincinnati Circus Company for the Union Town Square groundbreaking (motion: Commissioner George Eldridge; second: Commissioner Kimberly Tuyn; vote 4-0).
CAO Amy Safran requested authority for Mayor Solomon to sign two sign-permit applications for businesses in Union Promenade (Pure Barre and Body Alive); the commission approved the mayor to sign the applications prior to their submittal to the Boone County Planning Commission (motion: Commissioner Doug Bine; second: Commissioner George Eldridge; vote 4-0).
After a discussion of paralegal hourly rates, the Commission tabled Resolution No. 2025-05 (letter of engagement with Benjamin B. Hayden of Bricker Graydon, LLP) until the Aug. 18 caucus meeting.
