Mayor Larry Solomon moved the commission into executive session at 7:35 PM citing KRS 61.810(b): "Deliberations on the future acquisition or sale of real property by a public agency, but only when publicity would be likely to affect the value of a specific piece of property to be acquired for public use or sold by a public agency." Commissioner Doug Bine seconded and the motion carried 5–0.
The commission exited executive session at 8:09 PM; Mayor Solomon stated that no decisions were made while in executive session. The caucus then adjourned at 8:10 PM following a motion by Commissioner Bine and second by Commissioner Mefford.
Announcements recorded at the caucus: the Regular Commission meeting on Aug. 4, 2025, at 6:00 PM and the next Caucus/Commission meeting on Aug. 18, 2025, at 6:00 PM; both meetings will be at the city building, 1843 Bristow Drive, Union, Kentucky.
