CAO Amy Safran said the position would be supervised by the Public Works Director and capped at 20 hours per week; the motion (mover: Commissioner Kimberly Tuyn; second: Commissioner George Eldridge) passed 4-0.
Commissioner Doug Bine reported a delay in some plantings at Cardinal Park due to rain but confirmed the park water meter has been installed and the city will defer laying sod until cooler weather in early fall. The hire is intended to provide ongoing maintenance capacity for pocket parks and event needs such as the Union Town Square groundbreaking.
