At the July 21 caucus the City of Union Commission adopted several municipal orders addressing administrative policies and project support items.
Municipal Order 2025-36 set policy and procedure for cell-phone use by commissioners and eligible employees when conducting city business. Municipal Order 2025-37 established guidelines for the use of city credit cards. Municipal Order 2025-38 authorized acceptance of in-kind donations. Municipal Order 2025-40 authorized the mayor to sign a proposal from UES for special testing related to the Union Town Square property. Each order was approved on a 5–0 vote.
Mayor Solomon praised staff and consultants for the work on the Union Town Square project, saying staff and the design team had taken care to get the project details right. Staff will draft and publish the finalized policy language and supporting documents for public record.
