Commission approves concept plan one for Mt. Zion roundabout planting

Public Works Director Paul Kremer presented two concept designs for landscaping at the large roundabout on Mt. Zion Road and asked the Commission to select a plan. After discussion the Commission selected concept design plan one; Commissioner George Eldridge moved to approve the plan and Commissioner Kim Tuyn seconded. The motion passed unanimously, recorded as "Motion approved 5-0."
Kremer said the planting will proceed this fall or winter once the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet issues the necessary permit. The commission also noted a separate resident complaint about a private-property water issue on Whispering Trail; no formal action on the water complaint was taken at the caucus meeting.
