Public Works introduces new weed coordinator; Bear Bridal bridge awaits ODOT notice to proceed

Public Works Director Matt Paulson introduced Kelsey Josie as Jefferson County's new weed-program lead and said the county will resume JCWAC meetings to expand outreach and recruit new members. Josie said she intends to broaden participation and public involvement.
Paulson updated the board on operations including grading, rock crushing and pothole repair and reported that the Bear Bridal bridge project remains in design while the county awaits federal construction funding and a notice to proceed from the Oregon Department of Transportation. "We're waiting on ODOT that submitted our amendment that the board signed... Once the construction funding is released, then ODOT will issue a notice to proceed, then we can put out the bid and get going," he said.
