The Board approved employment contracts for a slate of new professional staff effective for the 2026–27 school year. Approved hires include Ryan Culey (Supervisor of Student Support Systems), Kelsey Ford (Supervisor of Student Support Systems), James Grabow (Social Worker), Katie Huntley (Teacher), Carly O'Brien (Teacher), Brooklyn Phillips (Teacher), Jennifer Ray (Teacher), Gabrielle Walker (Speech Language Pathologist), and Mallory White (Teacher).
The board also approved new administrative hires: Robert Coon as Northern High School Assistant Principal, Andrew Ley as Central Middle School Assistant Principal, and Daniel McElheny as Eastern High School Principal. The minutes record these approvals on the consent agenda.
Separately, the Board approved special leaves of absence under the Master Agreement for Maggie Goebel-Hammer and Lindsey Handley for the 2026–27 year. Superintendent Kirby then provided a brief update on the state budget and reminded the audience of the August 20 Staff Opening Day Kick-Off Event. There were no public comments before the meeting was adjourned at 9:10 a.m.
