President Fauson called the special meeting to order at 9:01 a.m., with six members present and one absent. Member Terryn served as acting board secretary due to the absence of Secretary Ninemeier.
The board approved a consent grouping that included the June 17, 2026 minutes and adopted the 2026–27 meeting schedule. The schedule sets regular meetings to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Administration Building, 620 Forest Hill Ave; the board listed dates from August 10, 2026 through June 14, 2027. The motion to approve the consent grouping passed on a 6–0 roll call vote.
The board required each member to sign a Conflict of Interest disclosure statement for the Superintendent's Office and appointed the Executive Assistant to the Superintendent as the assistant to the Board Secretary and the Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations as assistant to the Board Treasurer. It authorized the Superintendent (or designee) and the named assistant superintendents to enter into contracts on the district's behalf and required two authorized signatures on individual checks drawn from district funds, naming the Board Treasurer, Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations, Director of Finance, or Lead Accountant as permitted signers.
The board also designated a list of banks and investment firms (including Bank of America, Comerica, Fifth Third, Flagstar, Huntington, JP Morgan Chase, Level One Bank and others) as depositories for district funds for the fiscal year July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027, and authorized district staff to transfer or invest surplus funds in accordance with state law and board policy. The minutes record the motions and the 6–0 votes where they occurred.
