Council approves limited late-night hours for Tropical Smoothie with police conditions

Councilors noted prior debates over a 24-hour request had already been resolved against full around-the-clock hours and said the current amendment attempts to balance business support with public-safety concerns. The final motion passed 9-0.
The council asked staff to ensure order language is explicit about takeout-only hours, staffing requirements and enforcement procedures so the licensing order reflects the conditions discussed.
