The Levelland City Council approved a Special Event Application to combine Falling for the Wallace with the Main Street Cork & Keg event on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025. The combined event includes a parade and an alcohol component in Cork & Keg, which required council review and approval. "To approve a Special Event Application for the Fallin’ for the Wallace and Main Street Cork & Keg event," the council recorded in the motion moved by Jaime McCabe and seconded by Michael Stueart; the motion carried unanimously.
Council also approved Resolution No. 2025-09, which authorizes the city to enter an agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation to temporarily close two blocks of state highway—Houston Street on the north side of the square and Avenue H on the west side—during the event. The resolution sets out the city's responsibilities when closing state right-of-way to support safe parade and festival operations.
