Mr. Jesse Wyse briefed the board on the recommendation and the resolution language specifying that the audit be carried out in a manner generally consistent with Legislative Budget Board guidance and with an eye toward satisfying Texas Education Code Section 11.184 if a voter‑approval tax rate election is later ordered. The resolution states, in part, “The Board hereby authorizes the conduct of a voluntary efficiency audit of the District's operations for governance, planning, and financial management purposes.” The motion to adopt the resolution passed 6-0.
