The board accepted Marks' low responsive bid of $232,680.70 and authorized an additional 10% contingency to cover unforeseen site conditions, bringing the authorized maximum to $255,948.77. Commissioners Moore, Gallagher and Riddell voted to approve the award.
Commission documents presented at the July 14 meeting show seven bidders and list the construction estimate, bid bonds and affidavits; the board found Marks' bid within the project estimate and authorized payment from the stormwater account identified in the resolution. The resolution also authorizes release of retention upon satisfactory completion and invoice approval by the construction administrator and the Storm Water District.
