Board approves contract to refurbish Munster High track

The School Town of Munster board approved Action Item 5.1 to enter a contract with Vernon Jones for the Munster High School track refurbishment. Facilities staff said the existing latex surface (installed in 2010) has reached the end of its useful life and the project includes remediation of underlying base issues and installation of a new polyurethane running surface.
"The track that we currently have is a latex surface that was installed in 2010 … It's completely at the end of its lifespan," said the facilities presenter. The motion to approve the Munster High School Project 20260605 was made and seconded; the board carried the motion. Staff will proceed with contracting and scheduling the resurfacing work.
