Planning staff described the item as a replat to separate two existing buildings, noting one lot contains Cornerstone Baptist Church and the other contains a covered gym that used to be basketball courts. "So 1 of them is a Cornerstone Baptist Church," staff said. The presenter also noted an apparent name discrepancy on the application ("Jack Johnson" vs. "Jay Johnson") and said staff would cross‑check the paperwork before recording.
Planning & Zoning had scheduling conflicts and did not review the item prior to the council meeting; staff said mailed notices were sent and no responses were received. Council voted to approve the final plat by motion with no recorded opposition.
The council's approval allows the property owner to proceed with separate development of the two lots subject to standard recording and platting procedures.
