Hearing Examiner Gary McLean closed an open-record public hearing on a conditional use permit and site plan review for the Kitsap Transit North Base maintenance building after staff recommended approval and no members of the public spoke.
Senior Planner Edie Berkhof told the examiner that the project is in light industrial zoning on three properties between Viking Avenue and Vedder Road and that planning staff and the planning commission found the proposal consistent with the comprehensive plan and applicable codes. "We believe as conditioned, the project should be approved," Berkhof said. McLean said he had reviewed the materials, was familiar with the site, and "I will be issuing a written decision as soon as possible."
