York 1 honors Chief Stephen Shepherd with Legacy Builders Award

Chief Stephen Shepherd was singled out for ‘‘discipline, humility, and a relentless commitment to students,’’ the presenter said.
The board chair publicly thanked Shepherd and praised the many behind-the-scenes contributors who help district programs run. No formal action beyond the recognition was recorded; the board then moved on to routine reports and updates.
