The Bolingbrook Finance Committee voted June 10 to buy a replacement vehicle for Bolingbrook Community Television. David Tomsky, Production & Media Manager, presented the request for a 2025 Ford Transit 350 EWB high‑roof cargo van (or equivalent) to replace a 1998 GMC used by the community television operation.
Trustee Jean Kelly moved to amend the item description from 2024 to 2025 and to authorize purchase up to $75,000; Trustee Troy Doris seconded and the amendment carried unanimously. Kelly then moved to approve the vehicle purchase, Doris seconded, and the committee voted to approve the purchase. Tomsky said the van will be used for "modifications, wiring, and specific enhancements to accommodate all electronic modifications for video production." The committee did not record any opposing votes or conditions on the purchase.
The approval allows staff to proceed with procurement up to the approved $75,000 limit per the amended item description. The village will follow its procurement rules for vehicle purchase and any subsequent outfitting for production equipment.
