Superintendent Dr. Robinson opened his report by noting a July decision from the Wisconsin Court of Appeals that found Act 10 constitutional, overturning a 2024 circuit court decision; he said the case is expected to be appealed to the Wisconsin Supreme Court. "As a result, act 10 remains in effect, though the case is expected to be appealed to the Wisconsin Supreme Court," he said.
Dr. Robinson recognized facilities staff member Alberto Diaz for helping a community member with a flat tire and listed district events ahead of the school year, including jump-start sessions for Nathan Hale and Central High Schools on Aug. 14 and Aug. 21 and grades 6–8 jump-start on Aug. 31 at West Milwaukee and FLW. He also clarified an implementation detail for the upcoming school year: the district will enforce a "success implementation" for bags and lockers but will allow binders and Trapper Keepers (5-by-7 exceptions noted).
The report was informational; no board action was taken. Trustees thanked staff and noted the district's participation in regional events and athletic qualifications.
