Planning staff briefs commission on housing report, CUP compliance and upcoming items

Planning and Development staff delivered the department's monthly update at the Aug. 10 meeting, reporting that the housing affordability report is nearly done but needs updated vacant-parcel GIS data and that several conditional-use permits require staff follow-up.
"The housing affordability report is pretty much done except for I need help from Nate to get those — we have to update all the vacant parcel list," Jennifer said. Staff identified three CUP sites with compliance issues: a property parking in green space, a long-stalled project approaching its two-year build window, and a carwash that has not provided required annual tank inspections and water-quality reports. Jennifer said staff will bring the unresolved CUP matters back to the commission for direction next month.
Commissioners acknowledged the update and moved to formally acknowledge staff-approved certified survey maps and site plans for July and to approve July building permits as presented.
