Council approves interlocal agreement for Cameron Avenue lighting project with county support

The Common Council approved Resolution 26 R‑15, which authorizes an interlocal cooperation agreement with Lake County to complete a four-block Cameron Avenue lighting project. Councilman Kalinski said his outreach to county officials resulted in county financial support that will help complete the work.
"This resolution came about in my efforts to reach out to Lake County Commissioner Mike Repay and to our Lake County Councilwoman Christine Sid to support financially the completion of the Cameron...lighting project," Councilman Kalinski said, and he thanked the county officials for their assistance. Clerk Golic conducted a roll call; the resolution passed 9–0.
The resolution authorizes city staff to proceed with the interlocal agreement and accept county funds dedicated to the Cameron Street lighting improvements.
