Sheena Darlene, director of the Grand County Housing Authority, asked the board (acting as the Housing Authority) to sign an appraisal demand letter that will initiate the appraisal step in the insurance process for a roof claim at Grand Living Senior Homes.
"This is just the letter that is used to, let State Farm know that we are choosing to enact our right for appraisal for the roof claim at Grand Living Senior Homes," Sheena Darlene said. After brief clarification, a commissioner moved to approve the appraisal demand letter as presented and the board voted in favor. Darlene said the letter begins the next step to get the roof claim settled.
The board authorized the chair to sign the document and returned to county business following the action.
