Roanoke board adopts VSBA model code of conduct

The Roanoke City School Board read aloud the VSBA model code of conduct and adopted it at the Aug. 11 meeting.
Several board members took turns reading the pledge-language and the VSBA model statements. After the reading, Miss Watkins moved adoption and Miss Trigg seconded. The board voted by voice; Chair Missus Abell announced the motion carried and the code was adopted.
The adoption was procedural and was recorded in the meeting minutes; the board received the code for immediate effect as its model standard for member conduct.
