Shaina Bridal, the town liaison to ECAC, updated the committee on facility HVAC work and grant status. She said the Climate Leaders grant — intended to support HVAC design at town hall — has not yet yielded a response, and that the committee is reconsidering the police department HVAC and planning an independent review of the fire department system.
Bridal said technicians (Ryze) had visited the fire department and scheduled repairs for late August or early September; she added the system is expected to be hooked to the station generator on Aug. 20–21. “I reached out to Lisa Sullivan of Green Communities, so I'm waiting to hear back on that,” she said. Committee members agreed an independent review and clarity on grant status would be useful before committing to further actions.
The committee asked staff to keep them updated on repair timing and grant feedback so that any recommended capital or operating funding can be considered during budget discussions.
