Council approved budget amendment 25‑0209 to allocate funds for purchase of property adjacent to the planned Poulsbo Events & Recreation Center (the "perk" site). Finance Director Debbie Boer noted the council had already approved the purchase contract on April 9; the amendment transfers funds from the general fund to the parks capital fund to complete the acquisition.
Councilmembers praised staff negotiation and noted the acquisition will provide land for amenities and additional parking tied to the events and recreation facility. The motion to allocate $860,000 inclusive of closing costs passed by roll call.
