Board signs off on resignations, policies and program agreements
Summary

On the superintendent's recommendation the board approved several personnel actions and policy updates during its Feb. 9 meeting. The board accepted the resignation of Devon Anthony, effective Jan. 14, 2026, and the resignation of Tina Jones, preferred district substitute, effective Feb. 20, 2026. The board also approved volunteer and instructor appointments, including Amanda Belknap as a band volunteer and Joey Lunsford as an after-school high-school credit-recovery instructor paid at tutor rate.
The board approved the district Gifted Identification Plan and Gifted Education Policy, a College Credit Plus agreement with Stark State College, technology policies including Internet Filtering and Responsible Use, membership in the Ohio High School Athletic Association for 2026–27, the FFA overnight trip (April 29–May 1, 2026), and a set of board policy updates (including Preventing Chronic Absenteeism effective Aug. 1, 2026). Substitutes were approved contingent on proper credentialing. These items were approved on a single motion and roll-call vote.
