Council approves consent agenda, members disclose university contact
Summary

The Kearney City Council moved and approved items 1–4 on the consent agenda by roll call.
During discussion before the vote one council member said he and Council Member Moore "have asked separately the city attorney for permission to vote on the consent agenda items, as they do contain an item that pertains to the university." He added that neither of them were involved in drafting the contract or memorandum of understanding with the university and that they had done their due diligence to ensure they were capable of voting on the items.
The council then voted on the consent agenda; roll call responses were recorded as aye and the consent agenda passed.
